South Bound

Me and my girl friends went to a little trip in San Pablo City Laguna. We called it a tipid trip. Basically we just want to go to Pandin Lake but upon knowing that it will cost us Php 400.00 each for the lunch in the balsa we just decided to have a tour over San Pablo and make a more tipid but amazing experience.

As our main goal we visit Pandin Lake. From San Pablo proper, Manggahan (if I'm not mistaken) just ride the jeep with signboard ILOG. The fare is only Php 13.00. You will be dropped by this place.
From the drop off point you still need to walk to the vacant lot going to the lake. There are kids or old folks that might ask you to be your tour guide. Of course we decline having a guide since we're on our tipid trip. We just follow our instinct. Kidding. The trail is so easy, just follow the walk path. Maybe it took 15 to 30 mins I'm not sure though. The view is also breathtaking. I think the nearby lot is a ranch. There are a lot of horses. Oh its also breathtaking meaning you will literally loose your breath because of the walk.
I think there's really no special about this lake if you arrive but I believe that the enchantment is on the other side. Yeh because we're unable to go to that side of the lake. The balsa ride cost Php 400.00 per person (for the 3 of us). I'm not sure if it depends on the number of person or fixed Php 1,200.00 per balsa ride. This include a lunch and a stay on the other side of the like where guest could swim that will last for two hours if you reserved ahead of time. For walk in that would only be an hour stay.
Since we're on tipid trip we just have snacks which were available there. We have the palitaw, kwek-kwek, lumpia and halo-halo for our snack. Price range is from Php 10.00 to Php 25.00.
Even though we're unable to have the balsa ride since we're on a tipid trip we still enjoy the unlimited picture taking. We ask for permission if we could have some photo ops in the balsa which don't have guests. Achieved, that's what we could say.

When we get tired of the unlimited photo ops in the Pandin Lake, we decided to head over to Sampalok Lake. From Pandin and a walk going to the man street we need to ride a jeepney back to San Pablo. From San Pablo proper we rode a tricycle going to Sampalok Lake. The fare is Php 10.00 per person.
It's just a nice place to relax. Thank God we went there with a beautiful weather in the afternoon. A bit cloudy but not too much. There are bike rentals for those who want to go around the lake. Sad to say I can't ride a bike. We just stay there, take pictures and relax.
Of course the best in Sampalok Lake, the isaw. Isaw cost only Php 5.00. One of our favorite food. After some isaw and Pokemon search (yes there are a lot of Pokemon around the Sampalok Lake) we head back to San Pablo proper. We didn't have a proper lunch in this trip since we really enjoy such little snacks. In San Pablo there is this little cafe/resto that I really love although I only been there once.
When I visit the place for the first time I told my friends that we need to dine there. They serve from coffee, cakes to pastas.
Yes we're on a tipid trip but there's always an exception. But I think their prices were not too costly and it is really reasonable. Great food plus good customer service, that's why I fell in love with Si Christina.

We really enjoy this trip. It's really nice to have some trip once in  awhile. This will relax your mind, catch up for everyone's life happenings and to discuss future plans. You don't need to have a lot of money for such trip, just think about the fare and look for alternative food (other than fast food chains). Also, try to read blogs and reviews or friends post on Facebook or Instagram.
